Two weeks and three days today! Zack and I are adjusting well. Zack stayed home with Jack and I for the first week so we could spend time together as a family. Last week Grandma Pelham came and spent some time with us. Here are some pictures from the last week.

Jack met great grandpa Wolt and great grandma Jensen.

Grandma Pelham came to visit and took good care of Jack!

Here is Jack's daily routine: The day starts at approx. 6:00am (well technically it starts with the first feeding of the morning which is about 1:00am)

After breakfast and some time with mom, he usually naps in his chair.
Then at some point in the day, we go somewhere...Dr. appt., visit gpa and gma, to the store, on a walk...

He has more "awake" time now during the day. He makes all sorts of faces and waves his hands all about!
Give me 5!!!

Nothin' like a good stretch

OK time for a nap!

I'm so silly!!!
Dad loves spending time with Jack. He wraps him up all nice and warm.
They even have tummy time together!

Baby Jack

Jack Oliver Pelham has arrived!!! Zack and I went to the hospital at 7:00am on Friday and Jack arrived at 4:07pm. He weighed 7lbs, 9oz and measured at 20.25 inches. We are both so in love with him. Some of you might have noticed I changed the name of the blog a few days ago but then got distracted and never came back to update the rest!!! So here are the pictures to match the new title!
Here I am!
Brrrrrr!!

36 weeks TODAY!

36 weeks today, very hard to believe! This week we start our weekly appointments. According to the book baby P should be gaining about one ounce a day. The book also says he should be about 18 1/2 inches long. I can imagine it’s getting pretty crowded in there. We put the finishing touches on the nursery this week (pictures below). I’m sure the toys will end up downstairs but for now they will stay in the nursery. The carpet is done and the office looks GREAT! I believe we only have three rooms left in the house to paint…those will be projects for another day/year! Zack and my dad deserve a lot of credit for all the amazing painting in the house – THANK YOU!

I know it's hard to tell there is new carpet, but trust me, it looks much better!

The office looks amazing! The walls were white and the baseboard was brown - MAJOR improvement - THANKS DAD!!!
Probably the most organized the changing table will EVER be!!

The giraffe is a perfect fit for the nursery!
Zack spent a lot of time on the wall art - it turned out GREAT!

I tried to capture a full room shot.

Under Construction...

Sorry for the delay in posts…we’ve been busy people lately. With the house under construction, getting ready for the baby and just everyday life we’ve been swamped. One word of advice: only carpet one room at a time!!! Doing the whole house at once is not the best plan (especially while you are in the last phase of pregnancy). Last week Zack’s co-workers gave us a baby shower – we had a great time (pictures posted below). Zack and I also took a little trip to Minneapolis, Zack had a conference and I went along for the ride. We spent and extra day in Msp. and did some shopping for Baby P!! In our free time, we’ve been getting the nursery ready. Zack assembled the crib (pictures below) and continues to put toys together!

Baby P update: 35 weeks tomorrow!! We had an appointment on Tuesday and we are both doing well. The Dr. estimates he weighs about 4 lbs. We will now start our appointments every other week and then go weekly….things are moving so quickly now. We took our last Lamaze class on Thursday, so I guess we’re ready…yeah right!
Carpet update: The carpet is 90% done! We decided to delay carpeting the office so we could paint it. My loving father helped us paint the office (Zack came down with a terrible cold this week) and it is ready for carpet to be installed on the 9th!!! Once we are all done, I will post pictures of our finished product…so far we love the new carpet.
The baby shower was so fun! We received so many nice gifts. People are too generous!

We played a game where each team had to guess which smashed up candy bar was in the diaper...the messy diapers looked SO real! Zack and his teammates took this very seriously.

Here we go...glad to see he started with the insturctions!

Drumroll please...
