Gramma is 93!

We celebrated my Grandma's 93rd birthday this week!! After church we took her out for breakfast. Her niece from Las Vegas was in town so she and her husband joined the party. Mom made a wonderful angel-food cake, Gramma’s favorite. 93 years of age is pretty amazing – we JUST moved her into assisted living THIS year!

Can’t forget about the garden!! It is coming right along. In the pictures below you can see little veggies starting to grow. Earlier this week I ate a bean right off the plant – it was GREAT!!!
What is that I see??? A BEAN!!!! I can't wait for the rest!!
One little tomato has made its appearance, the tomatoes are growing like crazy!
Looking back at the June picture, I am reminded how quickly the garden is growing.

ND State Fair

This weekend I took Zack to the ND State Fair in Minot North Dakota! We went with some friends and had a great time. We toured the ag barns and looked at the farm equipment!! Throughout the day we watched Daryl’s Racing Pigs and Extreme Canines. We also sampled the food, can’t go to a fair without eating the food!!!

Wouldn't be a fair without a carousel.

We would make good farmers, right?!?!?

Meet Ferrari! Just as Zack was taking the picutre Ferrari started eating my hair!!!

Garden Update

We're busy in the garden...actually it kind of keeps itself busy by growing! Brandi pulled a whole grocery bag full of weeds out...at least we hope they were weeds. Pretty soon we'll be eating some non-contaminated produce!

4th of July weekend

What a great weekend! My sister and her husband were home for the week! We had a great time :) For the weekend of the 4th, we went to the Medora Musical - it was wonderful. There is nothing better than watching a musical in an outdoor amphitheater in Medora, ND. Before the musical we ate at the pitchfork fondue. The morning of the 4th, Zack and I went to the parade and then we had a family dinner with my mom's side of the family. The night of the 4th we went to the Capitol to watch the fireworks and listen to the symphony.

Just waiting for the fireworks to start!
My little cousin just loves M&Ms...
A view of the Badlands - they are just beautiful.
Everyone enjoying their steak at the fondue - Mmm!
