And the band plays on...

When I saw this picture I knew we were in trouble!
It only took her a day to figure out she could do this...

Jack and Fernie each had a fever for about 5 days, thankfully the days overlapped.  We spent lots of time in PJs.  Jack and Lucy watched lots of TV!
We did lots of cutting.
As you can tell from the first pictures, Fernie is a CLIMBER!  Her newest thing is to climb on the chairs and "play" at the table.
Jack couldn't be happier when daddy has to "fix" something in the house.  Jack is "helping" fix the handle.  He was so proud when the handle worked, he kept yelling "it WORKS, we fixed it daddy!!!"
Probably not the best parent decision but I bought the kids recorders!!  They both love them.  Jack will actually "play" songs but Fernie just drools on it!!!
Fernie can be very dramatic!  When she gets hurt she immediately runs to you and points to where it hurts and wants a kiss. It's actually very sweet.

I HAD to post this picture because the doll is actually sitting up.  Fernie likes to give her dolls rides but they are usually just tossed in the stroller!
See what I mean...
One of Fernie's favorite toys is the T-Rex.  She makes the funniest growling noise and bangs them together!!  She always brings Daddy a dinosaur in the playroom.
As you may have heard we received 17+ inches of snow in a 24 hours time period.  That's a LOT of snow!  Daddy took Jack out to play...he really didn't care for it.  I think it was too much snow.
So instead we opted to facetime with Michigan Nana and Papa!  Jack LOVES to facetime!
After the snow had finished falling we watched daddy work very hard to clear the sidewalk/driveway!
We tried to watch from all angles!
Daddy even waved at us!
This little one is getting SO big.
She is VERY independent and knows what she likes and doesn't like!
Once it stopped snowing and the roads were clear Jack and I ventured out!
Gotta love "snow" castles!!!
Jack put on a concert for me...playing the recorder AND the piano - such talent!

A concert is not complete without a percussion section!
I just love how Fernie sits on Daddy while he and Jack play catch!
Jack and I hit up our FIRST garage sale of the year (it was indoors!!).  Here is his BIG purchase - $.50!!
Yesterday we were visiting Gigi and Fernie ran right into a table!  Jack insisted he put ice on her eye this morning when she got up!  He is such a tender heart.
I LOVE them both so much!!

Parks, Eggs and Books

Jack looks so old and sophisticated.

While Jack was being serious his sister was not!
We have another climber on our hands...She climbs on EVERYTHING!
Seems hard to believe Jack can actually ride this bike. Last summer he couldn't even reach the pedals...
We received an extra special Easter package in the mail from Nana and Papa bunny!!  Before Zack and I knew what was going on Jack had opened the chocolate bunny and taken a few bites.  He was SO proud of himself!
So every once and a while I have to prepare some remarks.  I must do it more than I realize because one day I asked Jack what he was doing and he said "writing a speech"!!  So I asked him what it said and he responded:
Do not be afraid...God is with you..a tennis ball will fall in the water and splash you...
LOVE that my kids love to read!
 ...and stretch!
Thankfully it has been nice enough to play at the park.  Both kids enjoy their time at the park.

Even Nana got in on the park action!
When we arrived at this particular park a family was having an Easter egg hunt.  Jack understood he could not pick up the eggs...Fernie on the other hand...
The family was kind enough to share their eggs with the kids!

Time for the annual bunny trail!  Jack doesn't look so happy in this picture but he was SO excited.  He was up at 6:30am so we had him "sleep" with us until 7:30.

Then he helped Fernie with her trail!  He was VERY helpful...I don't think she will allow him to be that helpful next year!

 Our favorite bunnies!
 The BEST family picture...
Nana and Papa had an egg hunt for the kids.  There were 18 eggs...can you guess who found 16 and who found 2???

Every once and a while Jack and I do crafts...well we cut and paste paper!

Jack decided he wanted to be a superhero.  A blanket makes a perfect cape and a yellow tupperware container makes a great hat!

LOVE these next two pictures!

 Notice who is NOT raking?!?!
 Fernie is one busy girl!
Jack loves to play Frisbee...still working on how to throw it properly.
Can't wait for warmer weather so we can enjoy the park without our coats!
