Happy Father's Day

Last weekend we were in North Carolina for a few days because I had a conference to attend. We left a day early so we could check out some sights…we rented a mid-size car for the trip and to our surprise the car rental agenda upgraded us for FREE to a mid-size SUV!!! Below is a picture of our mid-sized SUV…right away we were a little shocked at the size of the SUV but you can decide that for yourself!!!
Baby update: We are at 24 weeks today!!! Baby P weighs a little over a pound. The book says he is about the size of an ear of corn. It also says his taste buds are developing so I had better start eating more veggies so he likes the taste!!

For Father’s day we took my grandpa, my dad and Zack to a restaurant were you can get the best hamburgers (I will take their word for it!!!). Zack and I gave my dad a gift card to his favorite store and Baby P gave his new grandpa a truck filled with shovels for their upcoming fun times in the garden.

My parents gave Zack two new outfits that are a little too small for him, so he will give them to Baby P!
Baby P and I gave Zack a book for Father’s day. It looked like a fun book for them to read together.

In his spare time, Zack has been busy painting the nursery and guest room. Zack is one of the most meticulous painters I know…everything will look GREAT!!! I am so excited to share pictures of his completed work.

Las Vegas

This past weekend Zack had a conference in Las Vegas and since our traveling days are growing shorter, we thought it would be fun if I went along! We have been to Vegas one time and I said if I EVER went back I wanted to see lots of shows. Before we left my wonderful husband made arrangements for us to see three great shows: Blue Man Group, Phantom, and Cirque Du Soleil KA. They were AWESOME!! I even got my picture taken with a member of the Blue Man group. We ate at some fun places. It was a nice get away for us.

We stayed at Caesars Palace.

We ate at some fun outdoor places. This is at one of the restaurants at Caesars Palace.

I couldn't believe how much blue paint they had on!

He even autographed my ticket!!

Of course we had to stop for snacks during the day!

I even found a friend!

Dinner wouldn’t be complete with out an Espresso for Zack!

Baby boy update: We are at 22 weeks and everything is going well! The little guy weighs about a pound and is about eight inches long. Baby P received another gift that is just adorable! It’s “My First Harrods Teddy”.

Drumroll please...

On Tuesday Zack and I had our 21 week appointment…drumroll please…IT’S A BOY!!! Zack and I are very excited. It’s been so nice referring to Baby P as a “he” rather than "he or she". After the appointment Zack and I each took a bucket of blue M&Ms to work to share the good news. With only 19 weeks to go, we have lots to do. We have been holding off on a few things until we knew if it would be a boy or girl. We are both very excited to meet this precious little boy God has given us.
Baby Pelham received his first package in the mail this week: an outfit from Bloomingdales!!! Those Michigan Pelhams know how to dress in style!
Our first big baby purchase arrived this week, the stroller and car seat. We didn’t know you had to assemble the stroller…

Brit's baby shower

This past weekend I had the privilege to attend my sister’s baby shower…that’s right, my sister is going to have a baby!!! We are due within a week of each other. I had a great time and was able to meet several of their wonderful friends. Here are a few pictures of the weekend. Nate’s parents were also able to spend the weekend with us!
