BIG smiles!

We are enjoying summer around here...just ask the kids:

I was getting breakfast ready and the kids were yelling for me to come in the playroom...THIS IS WHAT I FOUND!!  Probably won't get the mother-of-the-year award but yes, I did run and get my camera before getting her down...
Caroline is a big helper - She loves helping fill the pool.
This is Jack's second to last T-ball game.
Almost there...
Throw it to first...
YES!
This was taken at his last game...the boys were told to throw the ball to the base closest to them so we assumed Jack was going to throw it to second...

Nope, he raced the runner to second base and beat him - OUT!!!
The kids love water fun.  Jack probably enjoys it the most.  Fernie enjoys it the least...she's always cold - must be those Pelham genes!!

A little Curious George after some good pool time!
Even though she has outgrown this car, she loves driving it around!

This little ones does her BEST to keep up with Jack and Fernie...

...Like riding the big swings.

Caroline is a little bookworm. She loves looking at them and being read to.

If ever there is a flower in sight, it will be picked and given to me by Fernie.
Fernie is all ready for the last T-ball game...you would think she is going to the Kentucky Derby!!
Jack's last time being up to bat.

...And he's off!

In the last inning, Jack got to play catcher. He really enjoyed T-ball this season!
Jack and Fernie had a the opportunity to go to a picnic with Papa and Nana (I had a school board meeting and Zack stayed home with Caroline).  They had a blast.  Jack said his favorite part was golfing.
This is a rare picture of Fernie...She hasn't really shown an interest in sports.
She said the loved the ferris wheel but this picture says otherwise!

Who doesn't like a train ride!
There is always a princess who needs rescuing!
This picture melts my heart.
Last Friday we went to a few garage sales with Papa and Nana - someone always has good books for sale.  Papa had the honor of reading ALL the books as we drove around!!
Pile on Daddy!

Summertime Fun!

A small continuation from the Father's Day post...three little ones who love their Daddy VERY much.
We still enjoy our weekly T-ball games.  Jack does very well and enjoys it very much.
He is waiting to catch the ball...
...and he's off...
...Got it!
 He's comin' home!!
Up to bat...probably his favorite part.
While I was doing something upstairs Jack got all the Halloween costumes out and got everyone dressed up!
I can't get enough of this face!
Where's Jack????
 Peek-a-boo!
On the weekends we've been stopping at the park on the way home from church.  The kids love it and we don't have to go later in the day when it is so hot - WIN-WIN!

Chillin' in their "spider web"
This past week Zack was inducted as our new Rotary President! I am so proud of him.  I think Jack likes telling people "my dad is the president" to which I quickly add "the president of Rotary"!!

Papa was able to come (a few days before Nana) to witness the event!  As Zack was sharing a story about his interest in international service, Rodger couldn't help but interject!  There are always two sides to every story!
Three generations of Pelhams - handsome group if I don't say so myself.
Papa was able to come to a T-ball practice....
 ...while Fernie climbed the fence.
 Papa read LOTS of books!
 Where's Liney???
 There she is!
The kids and I were on a walk and I thought this was such a good photo op - that is our state capitol in the background.
Nana arrived and hit the ground running!
Nana didn't come empty handed - smile!
The 4th of July parade is always a hit!
 Our patriotic son!

This little one loves her slide.
Jack takes his T-ball very seriously.

We ALWAYS have time to read with Dad.
I share this picture because when Caroline gets a snack she immediately takes her snack cup and sippy cups and finds a place to sit and eat!
This weekend it was soooo hot - time for the pool!  Throw in a hose and a slide and you have some happy kids.

Only to be topped off with popsicles!
This is a very typical happy "Fernie face"!!
Jack thought it was fun to dump water on his head...Caroline NOT SO MUCH!
Another Sunday trip to the park.

 Fernie trying to escape Daddy!
