Now...right now??

The new favorite saying at our house..."Now, right now?"
Me: Jack let's go get a snack.
Jack: Now, right now?
Me: Later today we will go to the store.
Jack: Now, right now?
Me: Tomorrow is Sunday and we will go to Sunday school.
Jack: Now, right now?
You get the point!!
We are slowly learning to only say things when we can do them RIGHT NOW!
This is Jack new favorite spot...Fernie's crib. He loves to get her after a nap. The minute he hears her on the monitor he says "Baby up. Get baby. Now, right now!" Fernie actually likes being rescued by her big brother.

Bad picture of Jack but I thought it was funny...he still loves wearing his ear muffs and likes saying "football" into the mic while holding his football! He told me he was "working".Just taking a break...Our happy little baby! Loving the outdoors.

A few days ago they did some road work on our street. Jack was thrilled to see a sign on our boulevard. He was very sad when "these guys" took it away :(Believe it or not we actually have something real to water. We had to plant some grass seed and Jack likes watering it. Bucket on the left is his and mine is on the right!

We have a bit of an eavesdropper on our hands. Jack loves watching people especially kids. The neighbor kids were out playing and Jack watched very closely...
Jack was watching Grover (who wears a helmet)...Jack immediately ran to get his hard hat!
Coloring time with Daddy.
If you look very closely you will see a little cutie in the bucket!
Going for a ride.
This is Jack-speed!
Fernie is such a doll. We love her so much! The little sweetie has a cold right now...it's terrible listening to her cough. Working on tummy time.
Another day at the park.

This winter we put the tricycle in the basement hoping to teach Jack how to ride so he would be ready for summer. Our plan worked!! He is doing very well. Sometimes he gets stuck on corners or uneven pavement (you can't prepare for that in the basement!)

A weekend with Nanny

What a sweet face to start off the blog!
Our little honey is getting bigger every day. On Friday she weighed in at 13lbs, 8oz. It's so fun to get Fernie from her naps...the minute she sees you she smiles really BIG!

Jack is certainly enjoying our spring weather! One of his new things is to water the plants.

Another new thing is to push the stroller. He pushed the stroller all by himself to my parents house (boots and all!!).
And as long as we were at my parent's house Jack figured he would make a few shots!
"Who me??"
One day this week Zack didn't come home for lunch due to his work schedule. But he stopped by before his dinner meeting and Jack was THRILLED to see him...even for a few minutes!
Not a bad kick for dress shoes ;)
This weekend was EXTRA special for us...Nana or as Jack calls her "Nanny" came to visit! The first morning with us Jack went downstairs to"wake" her up. They spent lots of time playing in the playroom, playing outside and seeing the sites around town.
Ah yes, another State Basketball Tournament for us! Jack had a great time. I think the popcorn was the highlight!
An attempt at a family picture...
Sadly our team didn't win...the 3rd and 4th quarters got a LITTLE long for Jack...finally he put his feet up...
...took in the view behind him...
...leaned on Papa...
and played at the high tables in the food court...
Nana got some good one-on-one time with Fernie.
Thank goodness for rockers and checkers during a 30 minute wait...
So we ordered Jack pancakes (He picked them off the menu) for lunch...next thing we know the waiter brings out a chocolate milk!! Well I guess he would have tasted it eventually! He LOVED it.
I LOVE this picture. This is Lucy my parent's dog...she could see that we were out playing and was crying because she wanted to come up and play with us. It's so cute she is sitting right under Jack's hoop! And YES my dad brought her over to play!
"Not another picture mother!"
Notice her blanket...Fernie has really attached herself to this blanket. Thankfully we have two of them.
And just in case the rock gets thirsty!
Nana got her exercise with Jack. He kept her very busy!
Jack is showing Nana how high he can climb.
Nana even spent time with Fernie at the park!
Zack took the afternoon off and it was the perfect day for the park.
"When do I get to play at the park...I'm tired of this stroller".
Jack found a ball (tennis ball) and insisted on playing "hoops".
Jack is feeding Nana a cupcake from his book.
A little game of soccer.
Just watching the otters swim around.
Nana took one for the team at the zoo...she went in the kid tunnel with Jack!
Partners in crime...trying to get leftover corn!
Zack was helping my parents program something in their car. Jack HAD to help..he loved playing in the front seat!
"Nana, look at me!!"
We had a GREAT time with Nana. We missed Papa very much. THANK YOU for coming to visit!
Come back soon.
