Cousins, Cubbies, Carousals, and FISH!!!

Jack and I took a trip to Atlanta to celebrate sweet Jensen's 1st birthday...we had a GREAT time. Jack took big eyes full the ENTIRE trip. Jack did great on the plane ride...he slept a total of 20 minutes on the way there and 30 minutes on the way home. We were so fortunate to have very patient and understanding seat mates. Blessing: Jack and I had the seat row to ourselves for 2 out of the 4 flights! Good or Bad, Jack did inherit my like for routine...we both did very well adjusting to the time change, new routines, and an adjusted nap time. Our hosts were very gracious and met our every need - THANK YOU! When we arrived Jack had his own room stocked with diapers and wipes! His In-Style aunt bought him the cutest jacket, his own suitcase and the most adorable giraffe blanket.
Playtime was one of Jack's favorite things...Jensen had wonderful toys and Jack made sure he played with each one of them. Here are the cousins, they are the same height and weight!
Jack played...
and played...
and played...
and played...
and played...
The birthday party was a blast: lots of people and food! Jack and I enjoyed every minute. Jack loves to watch kids and there were about 20 kids for him to watch. Here is one of my favorite pictures with my sweet Jensen. Jack and I had to borrow some Cubs attire since we only have Tigers attire!
Bring on the party!!!
We took the boys to get their pictures taken (they turned out so cute!) and while we were at the mall we rode the carousal. It was fun had by all!
We took a FUN trip to the Georgia Aquarium. Jack couldn't get enough...his little pointer must have been exhausted (and my dad's shoulders!)
Jack had fallen asleep by the time we left the parking garage!
We had a great time and can't wait to go back (with Zack)! When I got home Zack had mowed/fertilized the lawn, washed/cleaned the cars, cleaned the house and did all the laundry - Woohoo!
Nate, Brit and Jensen, Thanks for such a memorable trip!! We love you.

Having Fun!

Jack loves to have fun! Tuesday and Thursday mornings Jack hangs out with Grandpa and Grandpa. I am trying to get this school work done, so I study while he plays. This Tuesday it was so nice out Grandpa took Jack for a ride, Jack LOVED it.
This year we (dad/grandpa) planted five pumpkin seeds and we harvested three pumpkins. Jack thought they were pretty cool. We are planning a trip to Papa's pumpkin patch when Grandpa and Grandma Pelham visit in two weeks!
I tried to get a picture of Jack holding a sign for grandparents day...NONE of them turned out because he kept eating the sign. Finally I took one with the sign behind him!
Peek-a-boo!
I think the metal bowl felt good on Jack's teeth. He has three teeth coming in on the top!
This is what I found when I went to get Jack up from his nap...he had taken part of his shirt off! What a goof :)
More cupboard time...
Well our Jack is WALKING!!! He takes a few steps at a time and then crawls the rest of the way. Sorry for the video being sideways :)

Our little monkey

Our little monkey keeps us on our toes! Jack will use ANYTHING to stand on to get to higher ground.

Jack's new thing is to "play" the piano. It's pretty cute watching him pound on the keys.

Just a short video of Jack playing with the rolling pin...such simple things can bring such joy! (FYI: I do wash the rolling pin before I use it!!!)

"It must be under here somewhere"...

Lately Jack is on the ground looking for toys under the table, couch or chair! Not sure what he is trying to find in this picture but he's looking pretty hard.
It's fun watching Jack play with his toys...he now actually tries to figure out how the toys work! More reading time with Daddy!
We can no longer leave Jack alone in his play area...before we discovered his "climbing abilities" we could leave him alone for a few minutes. For these pictures I intentionally left the room so he would climb on the table...

Say Cheese!
"It must be under here somewhere..."
"I can see it..."
"Almost..."
"Got it!!!"
This is a video of Jack "moo-ing", he does it right away and then he tries to eat the camera! There is also a "semi-woof" at the end :)

Jack enjoying his lion-walking-toy...in this video he is walking around the kitchen. He takes a little break in the middle but gets right back at it!
