"You doing Mommy?"

This little guy is becoming quite the conversationalist.  About 100 times a day I get asked "you doing Mommy?"  He loves to talk about that revolve around one subject.  For example he likes to talk about things to do with Lucy, things to do with Mommy, things to do outside, how something works...Tonight I was telling him how his brain works and he asked me "do you have a brain mommy?"
He's such a silly little boy...and BOY he is!

We took the kids to the state fair this weekend. In the days before we left we told Jack about all the animals he would see.  He was so pumped to see the bunny barn, the cows, goats, horses and pigs...Once we arrived and started looking at the animals he wanted NOTHING to do with them.  He hung onto Zack for dear life!  Jack wanted to play with the "toys"!
"Can we go in here Daddy?"

This was within Jack's comfort zone...in an air conditioned arena about 15 rows up from the horses!!
 I LOVE my Daddy!
 "Really, another picture mom?"
Jack also thoroughly enjoyed touring the RVs...
Can't wait until he can mow the lawn ;)
So as we were touring the barns with a screaming Jack, I noticed these little guys...I thought they were so cute so I took a picture.  Just as I finished I looked down only to see the same thing on the other side trying to munch on Fernie...you can see the stroller in the bottom left hand corner!
"We need one of these Daddy!"

Our little Fernie girl is ON THE GO!  She is actually trying to stand up.  I guess she thinks she needs to keep up with Jack.
 "Much better!"
We went over to a friend's house to play...I looked over and saw this adorable sight.  What a gentleman!
I have the most random sibling pictures but I will take what I can get!

She's going to be asking for the keys any day now!
One morning I took the kids over to our neighbor's backyard to play on their swing set!

 "Tools...now we're talking!"
Jack, Fernie and I helped GiGi celebrate her 97th birthday!  Jack was so excited to bring GiGi a balloon.  When we were at the store I asked him what GiGi would like for her birthday.  He quickly responded "a doll"!

And for your listening pleasure!

The Moving Mohawk

This little girl LOVES her brother!  There are two people who can bring on an instant smile:  Daddy and Jack.
 Hot weather calls for popsicles!
 Good to the last bite.
Silly faces from our silly girl.
 "Can you do this?"
Fernie and Sophie are GREAT friends.
I think every kid has one of these pictures!
Thankfully Jack doesn't know the difference between a real water table and his PB jars and a 5 gallon pail!!!
"Who are you?"
It's been VERY hot here and playing outdoors has not been an option.  So to keep Jack busy we've been taking lots of field trips.
And we've been spending lots of time in the basement.  I had moved lots of stuff downstairs this winter thinking it was going to be so cold outside and we might need another play option.  I never thought I would be using it in the summer!
 Tunnel bowling anyone?!?
 Jack the human bowling ball!
So I took this picture to show you Fernie's hair...She HAS A MOHAWK!
We try combing it down but it comes back just like this...
And this is what it looks like from the front.  I don't think the humidity is helping ;)
Yesterday morning and this morning we thought we would beat the heat and take Jack to the park.  When we arrived at the park at 8:30AM it was already 80 degrees...better than 98 degrees!

Just chillin' (love the position of her feet)
 Our happy baby!

Fernie LOVES the swing.   I think her smiles speak for themselves...

 Moments like these are priceless.
"I can go high-up like Jack"
Back to our field trips...the mall!
"All aboard!"

More swings this morning...I love how she is holding on. She had her arm up like this the ENTIRE time.
 "Whee!!!"
We had some special guest stop by!

Fernie is MOBILE!

As I've said many times, Fernie is a very happy baby...she is also a very vocal baby.  When people hear her squeal they think she is unhappy, just the opposite!  She is happy as can be!
