Da, Ma-ma and Moo

What a fun week with Jack! He is one busy little boy...it's so fun watching him learn. He watches everything very carefully...I would love to know what that little mind is thinking :)

In addition to crawling and getting into everything, Jack has started to say words. He says "da" for dad and "ma-ma" (said very quickly) for mom. Within the last few weeks he has added "moo" to his vocabulary. If you ask him what a cow says...he will pause, look at you for a while and then say "moo"!! It's pretty cute!

We took a little afternoon trip to "Da's" office!!
Jack found a new toy! He loved spinning the globe.
Jack's new toys include the Tupperware cupboard. What a mess!

...Just making sure the bottom is clean!
Jack enjoying drinking out of a cup! I tried to give him a sippy cup but he didn't understand how it worked. So one afternoon I gave him my cup with a straw to see what he would do...wouldn't you know it, on the first try he drank out of the straw! I think Jack is trying to get some water out of his bucket!
It's been fun feeding Jack more "big-people" food. He LOVES any fruit. When I get the fruit ready he gets so excited!
So we just arrived home from vacation and as every mother knows not everything gets put away right that night....one thing we didn't get put away was the food bin. I was making dinner and "listening" to Jack play on the floor. It got pretty quiet so I peaked over to see what he was doing...EATING THE M&M's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully he was not allergic to blue 1 or blue 2. He had blue everywhere...funny I had put him in a blue shirt that day :)

Trip to Michigan

We have returned from a wonderful trip to Michigan! Jack did so well...he traveled better than expected. I will admit the trip there was better than the trip home!! I think by the time we drove home, he had enough of his car seat.

On the way to grandpa and grandma's we made two stops to visit relatives. First stop: Zack's great uncle and aunt, Bud and JoAnn.
Uncle Bud and JoAnn gave Jack the cutest pirate place mat! We love it, thank you :)
Second stop: My uncle Doug and Aunt Dar.
Here are Doug and Dar and their kids! It was so fun to see everyone again.
We finally arrived at Grandpa and Grandma's. Jack was so happy to see them again!
Here is the "toy box" that helped with entertainment in the car...it actually worked out very well.
Jack also saw Great grandpa again...Grandpa lights up when he sees Jack.
"Great grandpa, how does this work???"
Jack and Grandma enjoyed some special time on the porch watching cars and bikes go by. Jack actually feel asleep in her lap...that NEVER happens!
Grandma let Jack play with the beads on the lamp and Jack thought that was pretty cool!
The main reason for our trip to Michigan was for Zack's sister's wedding. No pictures from rehearsal dinner but one picture from our eventful experience in downtown Detroit:
No one was hurt and nothing was stolen...but still scary. We were able to get it fixed the next day! (It would have been a windy ride home!!)
Now for the wedding pictures: Here is my handsome little man!
Can you believe I have NO pictures of Jack with the Bride and Groom (Sarah and Adam)...but I do have one picture of Jack with the guest of honor:
This picture was taken RIGHT before we left...it took Jack all night to warm up to Paws...I think he is still leery! Jack did so well being off his "schedule". He is used to dinner at 5:30pm (central time) and bed at 7:00pm. The night of wedding he ate dinner around 7:30pm and went to bed at 11:00pm.
Adam's mom gave him a cute "wedding bib".
Zack and I took turns entertaining Jack during dinner and the dance. It was so hot the day of the wedding (you probably noticed the three wardrobe changes!) I thought these were adorable father and son pictures:
Here is our ONE family picture...we all look exhausted.

Jack had a great time with Grandpa!

My sweet Jack

This picture explains the last few months in the Pelham household...We are always one step behind Jack!!! You can see his back and leg in the bottom left corner...he is SO quick, it's hard to get a good picture these days.
I'm hoping little Jack has curly hair...This is my photo evidence he once had a curl!!!

"Mom, enough pictures already"
Anything and everything goes in his mouth!
I know this picture is blurry but I had to share...Jack's new thing is to crawl with a toy in his mouth. Such a silly boy :)
I JUST cleared the first and second shelves, I guess the third shelf needs to be cleared too!
My sweet little boy
When Jack sits on the floor he crosses his feet, it's so cute.
Jack enjoys his walking lion but he usually crawls behind it!

New and Old(er)

(OK I have NO idea how I managed to get the pictures on the right side...)
This weekend we took Jack to the State Fair! He did really well and we even skipped the afternoon nap.
Just hanging out in the stroller. Love the foot :)

We walked through the "bunny barn". Jack really took everything in throughout the day.

Last Thursday Jack helped great-grandma celebrate her 95th birthday!

This was such a cute picture of Jack in the beanbag...but he was on the move too quickly for me to get a good picture!
Already reading dad's Pleading and Procedure book!
Reading time now takes place on the floor...Jack has to be doing something while Zack reads.
Jack puts EVERYTHING in his mouth and loves to chew on things. He thought these doorknobs were fun...
On July 13th, Jack welcomed his new beautiful cousin Naomi! He's excited to meet sweet Naomi in person.
Jack loves fruit...so we purchased this gadget. I put fresh fruit in the mesh bag and he chews away! He LOVES it :) [see video below]
More home improvements: My dad helped us install a banister guard...let me rephrase that: My dad installed the guard, we HELPED him!!! Thanks dad for keeping Jack safe.
Jack is trying to figure out how this toy works!

Loving his fruit:
