Fun, Fun and more Fun!!

This is what an afternoon with Nana and Papa looks like!!
I'm pretty sure he drank the WHOLE thing!
She would have drank the whole thing if they would have let her!
It was the FIRST parade of the season.  Jack was VERY excited.  He and Nana did a few warm-up stretches before he ran out to get all the candy...
and this little honey decided that everything she found on the ground needed to go in the trash!
Jack waited so patiently for the parade to start...
He finally saw the first car!!!
Fernie waved at everyone who went by.
Last week we had the delightful pleasure of hosting a professional businessman from Finland.  Hosting Antti was extra special since Zack has a Finnish heritage!  Antti was very delightful, polite, and fun.  He was so good with the kids.
Where is the first place Jack wanted to take him?
The park!
Antti was a good sport.
Fernie has decided she does NOT like the baby swing anymore.
As I said Antti was very good with the kids.  He read lots of books to Jack.  We had a great time with him.  Jack cried when we dropped him off at the airport :(

This is Fernie's expression when she sees Lucy coming down the street.
Jack is doing such a great job learning how to "pump" on the swing!
And she tries to do EVERYTHING big brother does.
Hard to believe looking at this face, but Fernie is one feisty little girl!
Every once and a while I get a picture with the kids and I...well at least one of us is looking at the camera!
 HAPPY girl.
Watch out world!
I can just hear Jack:  "Furnie wanna go really fast??"
Garden time!!!  Jack was very excited to help plant the seeds.
Cute story:  the next morning we were eating breakfast and my dad came down to finish putting in the bean seeds (he soaked them overnight) and Jack quickly became very concerned that Papa was taking seeds OUT of the garden!  Papa reassured Jack he was NOT taking seeds out.
Jack had his Cubbie program his week!  He worked SO hard this year.  He learned 32 verses!  He completed his first Cubbie book and received a Cubbie bear patch for his vest.
We are so proud of our little Cubbie.  WAY TO GO Jack!
We all took a trip with Dad to pick up my birthday cake.  Next thing I know, Jack got his own cup of ice cream!  He picked cotton candy flavor and loved it.
That night he told me his "high of the day" was eating his cotton candy ice cream!
Fernie's favorite place:  sitting on Daddy.  She loves time alone with Daddy and Mommy!
I had a delightful birthday weekend.  It's started out with McDonalds breakfast and ended with a wonderful dinner made by my mom.  In the middle I took a 1.5 hour nap and opened some very sweet birthday cards!  Looking forward to another fun year :)

If I haven't said it lately, man I could EAT your kids up! Fernie's smile is contagious and Jack just oozes joy! Not to mention - you're gorgeous in that pic with Fern - your hair is getting so long! I miss you guys! If I lived near you, I'd have come over to help celebrate and share your cake! :)
