"Will you be my queen?"

My little family!
 Fernie has discovered the tunnel!

Lately we have had some pretty interesting conversations with Jack.  One night while putting him to bed he said something about being a princess…I told him that a girl is princess and a boy is a prince.  He asked what a king was and I told him a king is a boy and a girl is a queen…
Me:  Would you like to be a king?
J:  Yip…Mommy, will you be my queen?
Me: I would love to.
J:  And we can live in a sandcastle.
We visited the zoo this week and he didn't like the loud noise of the gibbons.
Can't go wrong with the slide at the zoo.

In preparation for his birthday we’ve been asking him what he wants for a gift...
Me:  What would you like for your birthday?
J: A red car.
Me: Like one you can drive down the ramp?
J:  No, a big, big biiiigggg car I can drive really fast!!
On bath night Zack had meeting so I had to bathe both kids.  Fenie has such sensitive skin so she needs to use special soap SO no more sibling baths.  I don't think she minded!
Pretty much every morning Jack watches Zack leave for work...
They blow kisses back and forth...I just had to show this picture because you can see Jack "catching" Zack's kiss!!!
This weekend we participated in the Autumnfest parade.  It's hard to tell but Fernie is having fun!!!
Jack held his sign the ENTIRE parade route.
We visited a new park this weekend.  Jack LOVED it.

 Even Fernie liked the swing!

 It's that time of year!
I just had to show these next two picture because if you remember Fernie received two of this outfit.  One was sized 3 months (Thanks Rose!)  AND...
One was sized 12 months (Thanks Rosie!). What a difference!!!

Jack's new favorite thing at Papa and Nana's house is riding in the sled!!

Jack’s newest question is “Where’d you get that?”
This morning we gave him a quarter for Sunday school offering…
J:  This quarter is for kids who don’t have quarters, right mommy?
Me:  Yes, some people don’t have the things we have.
J:  Where’d you get this coin from Mommy?
Me:  We have to hard work for our money.  Daddy works hard so we can get money.
J:  What do you do with money?
Me:  We pay our bills, buy groceries, give money to church...
J:  And buy birthday presents for Jack?
Me:  Yes but that’s something very special...We have to be careful how we spend our money.
J:  We have to keep our money at the house and hold on to it very tight.
(well sort of what I was getting at...)
