2017 has come and gone...

Eeeeeekkk 2018 is upon us!!!
Fall just flew by...fall parties, trick-or-treating, Thanksgiving, Christmas programs, Christmas parties, two birthday parties, Christmas and all the stuff in between!!!

This little one continues to keep us hoppin'.
We were driving somewhere and I turned around and saw this cute face just chillin'...then I saw a scuba diver in the backseat!!!
Jack's Fall party at Papa's Pumpkin Patch!
When you don't go to school yet, you get to tag along!

This honey is full of life!
Our last warm day in the fall.
Boo!!!

He climbs EVERYWHERE....
We finished up ballet in the fall - the girls loved it!

Last ballet lesson :(
Jack's new endeavor this fall - Chess.
In December he played in his first tournament and took 3rd place!

Fernanda has been asking to get her ears pierced for a long time now.  So one weekend we went to the mall to het her ears pierced.  After seeing someone have it done she decided she would wait until she was six (4 months away)!!! One Saturday afternoon she declared:  I would like to get my ears pierced TODAY!  So we packed everyone up and drove to the mall. She enjoyed picking them out but did not enjoy the anticipation of waiting for the paperwork to be done.  So on November 11, 3 weeks before her 6th birthday, she had her ears pierced and hasn't looked back!!!

Caroline would like this wall for her new room!
Evan is quite funny!  When the air is blowing out of the vents, he lays down and puts his arms  back like he is flying.
Bought this for girls at an auction...maybe should have bought it for E-man!
Our annual tradition of ringing the Salvation Army bell at Scheels.
I had a wonderful helper while decorating the Christmas tree this year.
Jack had his class chapel in December. He did a great job singing and remembering his lines.
The deal was that if he wore his suspenders and bowtie he could take one off right after the programs.  He didn't waste a minute...this is him doing the second performance at the nursing home an hour later!
Santa Time!!!
Jack and Fernanda did a great job at their school Christmas programs.

I'm showing this picture to show Fernanda's bling...check out that ring!!!
Finally it was Fernanda's turn to have a party...its' a long time between October and December ;)  She was all smiles ALL day.  We were up our eyeballs in sparkles and glitter...we painted nails, made ornaments, decorated bracelet and picked out our unicorn names...She was Rainbow Fancy Sparkles!  I was Bubbles McFluffy and Zack was Zany Sugar Socks!!!

Time for the Church Christmas program.  Caroline was a sweet little sheep singing silent night.
For Zack's Christmas party I thought it would be fun to get my nails done and I couldn't think if a better person to take with me!  She loved it.
Party time!
Time for decorating Christmas cookies with Nana. They all worked very hard and made some very beautiful cookies.

E kept Papa entertained while the kids decorated.
This is our messy babe!  I'm pretty sure he is laughing at me...haha you get to clean me up!!!
Only Fernanda would give her gingerbread lady a lip piercing...
One of my favorite days of the year - Christmas Eve!

Christmas was so much fun this year.  The kids enjoyed every minute (except waiting!!).

Our sweet Caroline turned 4 years old two days after Christmas. She loves, loves, loves dogs (and the color yellow) so why not a gigantic dog balloon for her special day?!?!  She named him Halloween...I'm thinking she ran out of dog names, she only has 15 of them!
She is as sweet as she looks.
Our beautiful yellow princess.
2017 was a great year...it was busy AND fun!  Two trips to Michigan, a trip to Maine, a few roadtrips in the middle, birthday parties, school parties, ballet, basketball games, baseball games, making thanksgiving dinner, building a house...MORE???
At the beginning of 2017 I started writing down things I wanted to remember throughout the year on index cards.  On new year days we read all the cards over breakfast. It was so fun to remember our year. I think we will do it again this year!
House update:  The house is coming right along.  Here are some pictures in chronological order.  It's amazing how much gets done over a few days.
