2009 Great American Bike Race

Last weekend Zack participated in the 2009 Medcenter One Great American Bike Race. He had to ride bike as fast as he could for 25 minutes!! I was so proud of him!! There were more than a 1,000 people riding stationary bikes to raise money for families of children with cerebral palsy. I am curious to find out how much money they raised... I participated by fanning Zack as he rode!

Baby update: Mom and baby are doing well. We are at 16 weeks today! According to the book baby P is about the size of an avocado (4 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 ounces). Pregnancy is one of the most amazing experiences! I haven’t really had any weird cravings but I do LOVE strawberries and any kind of salad!

HE Has Risen!! Happy Easter! We spent Easter with my grandparents, aunt and uncle and of course Lucy. My parents are cruising around the world this week. Today they are in Rome. Zack’s parents are also traveling this week in South Carolina, we planned to go with them but since our state legislature is in session it would be hard to miss a week of work! Since I’m not Susie homemaker, we took my grandparents up on having dinner at their assisted living facility– it was actually pretty good! This morning both Zack and I received Easter baskets from the easter bunny. Of course, he always leaves a trail to the baskets!
Baby update: The baby is almost 4 inches long. We had an ultrasound this week, and do you think the technician could get a still shot of the baby?? Oh no, the baby kept flipping and rolling over like a gymnast – perhaps a gymnastic prodigy!!! We also met our doctor this week, we were both very pleased with her and have great confidence in her skills.
