...And the rest of September!!

Wow a lot can happen in ONE month!  I really didn't think we were that busy

but we managed to squeeze in a lot of activities.

The kids love to drive in the jeep with Dad when he comes home from work!  If you look closely you can see three heads in the front seat.
Playing a serious game of "ultimate" hopscotch!  Jack likes to come up with new ways of playing old games so hence the "ultimate"...I think you had to skip two blocks at a time...
This little man is growing up before our very eyes.  I can't believe how much he matured over the summer.
Caroline is very alert and aware of her surroundings.  She had her 9 month appointment this week:
18.1lbs, 50th percentile
27 inches long, 28th percentile
Our little fashionista!  No one tells her how to dress!

The first day of Pre-school for Jack was September 2.  He could hardly stand still get some pictures.

 Some brother time for Caroline.
Watching some Doc McStuffins with Dad....Fernie always has her "ear checker" (otoscope), "knee checker" (reflex hammer) or Stethoscope with her.  She is usually giving someone or something a checkup.
"Why do I have to take ALL these pictures??"
 Picnic time!

 Baseball practice with Dad.
 Even Fernie had a tutorial...
ONE day this month we had to wear hats to school....I emphasize ONE...it's been 80-90 degrees for the last few weeks.  I'm ready for fall!
Parade time but we need to pass the time until the parade actually started.

The parks have been so much fun this summer, Fernie has been able to really enjoy and participate in all the things the parks have to offer.
We thought it was time for Caroline to try the swing...
 First impression.
Jack may have pushed a little to fast so dad took over...Jack then took over pushing Fernie!
"I think I like the swing!"
The kids discovered the tire swing!
 A Dad and his girls.
A mom and her son.
 Papa's Pumpkin Patch 2014

They added a swing zip line.  Fernie loved it, can you tell?!?
 Wheeeerrrre's Fernie???

Even Nana and Papa got in on the fun!
They also added a tight-rope walk.
Our ninja warrior was very brave!

How big is Caroline?!?!
I show this picture of Fernie dancing because the pink pants are Caroline's.  Fernie took them off Caroline and put them on herself!
We attended Shiloh's homecoming football game this weekend.  Fernie was really into it!!!
There is ALWAYS time for reading with Dad!
 Our Tigers fan!

Picnic, Cereal, Birthday parties and Sitting up!

Phew, a lot can happen in the second half of the month!
Jack and Fenie got to attend a picnic with Nana and Papa.  This was Jack's second year and Fernie's first year.  They both had a great time and came home with lots of goodies!  Pretty sure Fernie wore her nametag for three days!
I think they were smiling for days!
Our little sweetheart got her first taste of cereal.  She is still a bit uncertain but really likes it when I put some peach juice in there!!

With our little one eating food now, we have a new table arrangement!  Fernie was thrilled to give up her highchair and get a booster seat.

We celebrated North Dakota's 125th birthday on the capitol lawn.  Unfortunately it started raining
about 30 minutes after we arrived and didn't stop until later that afternoon.  It's a once and a lifetime experience, right?!?
Fernie didn't let the weather rain on her parade!
So over the last few months I have collected a few quotes from these little cuties and for memory's sake I need to document them here.
I was singing "when I am dying, Lord remember me...when I am dying, Lord remember me..."  Jack quickly cut me off and said "he can't forget you when you're going up there"

The kids now have a chore chart. I asked Jack what would be a good reward if they complete their chores at the end of the week. He thought a marshmallow would be a good reward. About 30 minutes later he came to me with big eyes and said "MOM I thought of a good reward...dad gets to stay home all day one day during the week!!!!"
We were driving in the car last Sunday and a song with a really good beat came on and Jack said "mom you better get your drumsticks out!!"

As we pulled up to church two Sundays ago Jack says "oh Nana and Papa are here...XXX123".  He rattled off their license plate number.

We were on a walk the other day and Jack tripped. As he was laying on the ground crying, Fernie said "it's okay buddy."  And then held out her hand for him.

Fernie can be a BIT dramatic...her new things are "EVER" and "EVERYWHERE" as in:
"Mom there are crumbs EVERYWHERE" and "Caroline can't play with my toys EVER"!!!

We are always up for a family walk!  We've got to enjoy this cooler weather...before it gets too cool!
Lately we have been going to my parents house for Sunday lunch.  After lunch the kids love to play games with Nana and Papa.
Papa and Jack have started playing Sorry!
Our mornings are a bit cooler now...
but we still have fun!

We made our annual trek to Medora this weekend!  This year we took the whole crew.  We had a great time.  Don't be surprised if this picture shows up on the Christmas card.
This was such a good picture of the kids hugging.  By the time I got the camera out, Fernie had her finger in her nose!  The scenery is beautiful anyway!
A Medora enthusiast!
Between the fondue and musical we had some time to dance.
Even little Caroline got in on the fun!
I don't think Caroline appreciated the stroller...
As tradition would have it, Zack made an appearance on stage.
Jack has some mad game skills.
Jack got invited to a swimming party this weekend.  The goggles were a big hit!

I can't believe this little BIG guy is going to start pre-school on Friday.  Oh I am going to miss him.
...and I think someone else will miss him too...
Drumroll Please:  Sweet Caroline is now going from laying to sitting all on her own!!  Oh boy, watch out Mommy!
