Oh how we love August humid (hair) days!
"Hi-ho, hi-ho it's off to work I go!"
Always time for a frozen go-gurt snack!
Our sweet baby cakes!
A few weekends ago we took a mini family vacation to Minneapolis. What made it even sweeter was that Nana and Papa came too. A great time had by all! The kids did great traveling (snacks and movies help!) and sleeping in the hotel.
Of course we HAD to stay at a hotel with a waterpark! One funny story, Zack does such a great job planning our trips. He found a special family suite with bunkbeds for the kids - sounds like fun, right?!?! Well we got to the room and it was a standard sized room with a walled-off area with bunkbeds!!!!!! We were a bit cramped to say the least. Thankfully they were willing to switch a few things around and get us into a different suite!

Here are the men (and Caroline) waiting for the girls while they shop at the Mall of America...Fernie is probably off twirling in the corner!
Zack and Jack spent some time on the rides at the MOA.
We visited Como zoo, what a GREAT zoo!
Trying to see the lions...
Who doesn't like penguins?!?
The waterpark was great. I don't have may pictures to share of swimming because the usual picture taker (me) went swimming!! Since summer has started I have been reading all these articles (thanks facebook...) of how mom's shouldn't be ashamed of wearing a bathing suit. I was convicted enough that the day before we left for our trip I took all three kids bathing suit shopping!! With a purse full of suckers, fun fruits and the double stroller we headed out to shop. I went to one store and got all the suits I could find in my size and headed to the dressing room. To my surprise we were in and out of the store in 50 minutes!
We may have been watching too much "Ninja Warrior" at our house...

The real purpose of this trip was for us to visit the Children's hospital for this little cutie's 6-month follow-up appointment.
I am VERY PLEASED to report her kidney is healing on it own very nicely. We need to re-visit in a year. PRAISE THE LORD!!! Also a thank you to my parents who watched the older kids while Zack and I took Caroline to her appointment.
Even Jack and Fernie were happy about the news!
Yay for family vacation!! I love my little family.
She is READY to crawl...any day now...
Shopping in style!
We are soccer-crazed here!
Last Friday we helped Papa trim our trees...
If you ever need rescuing or comic relief, just call us!!
Doc McStuffin's is always better while sitting on daddy's lap.
We were very fortunate to have my cousin and her family stop by. Jack had a BLAST!
The second cousins!
Caroline can't find enough things to chew on these days. We have one teeny-tiny tooth so far.
Caroline is one HAPPY baby!
Hey our stroller has a third seat, who knew?!?
Our latest endeavor....Jenga!!! He's pretty good!
