A weekend with Nanny

What a sweet face to start off the blog!
Our little honey is getting bigger every day. On Friday she weighed in at 13lbs, 8oz. It's so fun to get Fernie from her naps...the minute she sees you she smiles really BIG!

Jack is certainly enjoying our spring weather! One of his new things is to water the plants.

Another new thing is to push the stroller. He pushed the stroller all by himself to my parents house (boots and all!!).
And as long as we were at my parent's house Jack figured he would make a few shots!
"Who me??"
One day this week Zack didn't come home for lunch due to his work schedule. But he stopped by before his dinner meeting and Jack was THRILLED to see him...even for a few minutes!
Not a bad kick for dress shoes ;)
This weekend was EXTRA special for us...Nana or as Jack calls her "Nanny" came to visit! The first morning with us Jack went downstairs to"wake" her up. They spent lots of time playing in the playroom, playing outside and seeing the sites around town.
Ah yes, another State Basketball Tournament for us! Jack had a great time. I think the popcorn was the highlight!
An attempt at a family picture...
Sadly our team didn't win...the 3rd and 4th quarters got a LITTLE long for Jack...finally he put his feet up...
...took in the view behind him...
...leaned on Papa...
and played at the high tables in the food court...
Nana got some good one-on-one time with Fernie.
Thank goodness for rockers and checkers during a 30 minute wait...
So we ordered Jack pancakes (He picked them off the menu) for lunch...next thing we know the waiter brings out a chocolate milk!! Well I guess he would have tasted it eventually! He LOVED it.
I LOVE this picture. This is Lucy my parent's dog...she could see that we were out playing and was crying because she wanted to come up and play with us. It's so cute she is sitting right under Jack's hoop! And YES my dad brought her over to play!
"Not another picture mother!"
Notice her blanket...Fernie has really attached herself to this blanket. Thankfully we have two of them.
And just in case the rock gets thirsty!
Nana got her exercise with Jack. He kept her very busy!
Jack is showing Nana how high he can climb.
Nana even spent time with Fernie at the park!
Zack took the afternoon off and it was the perfect day for the park.
"When do I get to play at the park...I'm tired of this stroller".
Jack found a ball (tennis ball) and insisted on playing "hoops".
Jack is feeding Nana a cupcake from his book.
A little game of soccer.
Just watching the otters swim around.
Nana took one for the team at the zoo...she went in the kid tunnel with Jack!
Partners in crime...trying to get leftover corn!
Zack was helping my parents program something in their car. Jack HAD to help..he loved playing in the front seat!
"Nana, look at me!!"
We had a GREAT time with Nana. We missed Papa very much. THANK YOU for coming to visit!
Come back soon.

Awesome weather = Lots of fun!

It's very hard to believe our little honey is already OVER three months old! She is such a good baby. She only really fusses when she is hungry, tired or messy! We have been working very hard on the nap thing...getting better every day. Jack LOVES playing with Fernie's toys...even if they are too small!Jack couldn't be happier - watching basketball with daddy while eating popcorn!Just had to post this...Zack is showing off his skills of balancing a ball on his nose. Jack thinks it's very funny...
Our future baseball star?!?!
Snuggle buddies.
"This thing needs snow tires!"
Jack's new thing is to pull the wagon up and down the sidewalk...he pretends he is pulling a puppy.
We are never short of bins to sit in...
Just hangin' with daddy.
Mat time!
This weekend was AWESOME outside! We enjoyed every minute...
Jack found a NEW toy at the park. He needed a little assistance but really enjoyed it.
Slides always make Jack happy :)
Three of my favorite guys! Nana and Papa joined us at the zoo this weekend.
After our trip to the zoo we told Jack we were going to get a surprise...we wanted to take him to a new yogurt place in town...when we arrived the line VERY long...so we decided to hit McD's for a cone. Jack had no complaints!
Jack still loves bubbles.
It's so fun watching Jack play at the park. It's hard to believe a year ago we had to help him down the slide! (you can ignore my "mommy voice" as I tell Jack to sit down!)
We asked Jack why Lucy (my parents dog) didn't come to the zoo with us...

Toys, Donuts, Boots and More!

Jack is always bringing Fernie toys!

Maybe someday these will fit!

Who knows, maybe the ball need its nose cleared out too?!?!I asked Jack to put on his jacket while I ran to get something...here is what I found when I returned! He can be so silly!
Bathtime for Fernie. She is one roly poly little girl!
You can see Jack in his monkey pjs giving Fernie a rattle! Notice how he has laid other toys beside her head...
Zack managing both kiddos!
Fernie was helping Daddy with title opinions!
I wonder if these cars come with 4-wheel drive?!?
We finally bought Jack some "no-boots" (snow boots)! They were $5 at walmart.
This face is TOTALLY worth my $5!!!
Jack wanted to hold Fern today...so we thought it would be a perfect photo op. Most people would get their kids to smile by saying "cheese"...we got Jack to smile by saying "cheesy boogers"!
Last week after library time I took Jack to the Donut Hole...I'll let you decide if he had a good time...
Fernie has received some adorable clothes from her cousin...sadly she is growing out of them VERY quickly. I loved this skirt but it was too tight for her. She wore it for this picture and then I realized it was too tight on her tummy.
GiGi kisses!
Just taking a ride on GiGi's walker!
My high school made it to the state basketball tourney so we took Jack to the "welcoming back" party. Of course he HAD to hold a basketball!
Look at that smile (his not mine!), he was so happy to have his OWN big piece of cake and "memon" (lemonade).
Here is our little chatty Fern...so much to say! BTW she went to Sunday school with us not on her own ;)

Fernie is taking after her brother when it comes to kicking!

Jack loves to play "knock knock"...he knocks on the door and wants you to say "come in"!
