Pocket protector

Our little Jack is one happy guy.  Don't get me wrong we have our moments but for the most part he is HAPPY!!  (yes, we know this toy is too small for him but he LOVES it!!!)

 I was in the back room and noticed some blue color crayon on the tile.  I called Jack back immediately and the conversation went like this:

Me:  Jack did you color on the tile?

Jack:  NO! 

Me:  Well then who did this (pointing to the blue lines)?

Jack:  ME!! (said with great pride)

Could you be mad at this little face???

 This is one happy Papa!

 These days you can find Fernie anywhere!!!

 Her new favorite thing...I don't think I'm ready for this!!!

 While Fernie slept one afternoon Jack and I played with bubbles...

 

 Papa took Jack on an outing one morning this week.  Jack could not get in the car fast enough!

 

 3 amigos!

 Well we broke out the "food net".  First we gave Fernie apples...she did OK.  Yesterday we gave her peaches...she LOVED them!!

 I'm sure she was trying to give me a kiss...

Fernie loves the swing...it's so fun to see her enjoy it because Jack never did...he still really doesn't.

 (Yes, she has tights on...it was a cool morning and she has NO pants that fit.  Don't worry we bought her some pants that afternoon.  Figures it's been in the 90s since!)

 Who's under that hat???  She likes her thumb!

 Jack was invited to a birthday party this weekend.  He definitely had a height advantage!

 After the pinata broke he was quick to get the candy that fell far away from the tree... 

 Once he had collected all that candy he moved over to the BIG pile!

 Fernie cuddled with Daddy.

 Jack even put candy in his pocket...he was so proud!

 He protected his "candy" pocket for the rest of the night.  Even when running he made sure his candy didn't fall out.

 Here he is waiting for cake and ice cream (WAY past bedtime)...still covering his pocket!

It's the little things...

Water water everywhere!

 Our gardener takes his job very seriously.

 One night I left Fernie in the playroom while I started dinner.  Jack came with me so I would tell him to go check on Fernie and tell me what she is doing. He would then check and report back. One time his response was "she is fine"...he didn't even check so I wondered what was up?!?  This is how I found her!!! 

 The kids and I had a long week with Zack gone for 4 days!!  But we survived.  I EVEN did bathtime!!!  I figured it was more efficient to bathe them together...

This week we attended a picnic at an amusement park...Jack had a blast! 

 Fernie hung out with Daddy.

 Jack's favorite activity was the basketball hoops!

 While Jack played basketball, Fernie entertained Nana and Papa.

Swish!!! 

 He is one happy camper.

 A dear friend sent me an email listing "19 things to say [to your kids]"...#8 was "What a great idea! You were really thinking! How did you come up with that? Tell me more. Your mind is clever!" 

One morning we were rushing around to get out the door and I had left a pile of hangers on the floor to take downstairs to the laundry room...as I was dressing Fernie Jack kept saying "come see Mommy"...I took a quick look and said "cool Jack, now let's go".  I was then reminded of the email...I put Fernie down and took of picture of Jack's creative artwork!!!  It's the little things...

Fernie is such a sweetie!  She has the biggest smile. 

Check out those teeth...and she has 4 more coming in on top!

Our little Fernie is one busy little girl.  She loves to explore and find new things!  She is all over the place.  Today was her first day in the nursery and they said she crawled EVERYWHERE!!

"Hmm...what's in here??"

 "I know I can reach that..."

 "Always a better view from a higher elevation!"

 "Can I help you?" 

I have few pictures WITH the kids so I thought I would share this one...when you are your own photographer you take what you can get!!!

 I just had to share this picture...Fernie made this mess ALL BY HERSELF!  This room was clean when she started playing in here.  I'm not exaggerating when I say she is all over the place!

Moose sighting!!!

This is huge for Jack...For as much as he loves the water he doesn't like to get wet.  When I saw this I about fell off my chair!

 I was feeding Fernie and she started playing this little game with me.
